Ship Security Awareness (SSA) / Security Awareness Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)

This is a Internationally recognized training course designed to provide knowledge to enhance ship security for all seafarers with Designated Security Duties.

The knowledge / Competence imparted in this course is required to

a) Maintain the conditions set out in the ship security plan.

b) To help in recognizing security related threats, patterns and risks.

c) To help personnel undertake regular security related inspections of the ship.

d) To implement proper usage of the security related systems and necessary equipment.

This is normally a 1-2 day’s course.
